The Womaniya Initiative is a flagship program launched on 14 January 2019 by the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) to empower women-led enterprises and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by giving them direct access to public procurement markets. It has become a major driver of gender-inclusive economic growth in India.
