Samrat Rana is a historic ISSF World Champion in the men's 10m air pistol event, having won the gold medal at the 2025 ISSF World Championships in Cairo, Egypt.
Key Achievements at the ISSF World Championships
- Individual Gold (Men's 10m Air Pistol): At just 20 years old, Samrat Rana made history by becoming the first Indian ever to win an individual world title in the Olympic discipline of men's 10m air pistol. In a thrilling final, he scored 243.7 points, narrowly defeating China's Hu Kai by a margin of 0.4 points. This was his debut senior World Championships.
- Team Gold (Men's 10m Air Pistol): He was also part of the Indian trio (along with Varun Tomar and Shravan Kumar) that secured the gold medal in the men's 10m air pistol team event at the same championships, topping the qualification round with a combined score of 1754.
- Mixed Team Silver (10m Air Pistol): Rana partnered with Esha Singh to win a silver medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event, where they were defeated by the Chinese pair in the gold medal match.
- Double Podium for India: His victory in the individual event was part of a historic double podium finish for India, as his compatriot Varun Tomar took the bronze medal.
