TRAI MyCall Mobile Application

Why in News?
  • The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India launched a revamped version of the 'TRAI MyCall' mobile application on 3 August 2026 to enable telecom consumers to assess and report voice call quality in real time. The initiative aims to improve the Quality of Service (QoS) through direct consumer feedback.
 About the TRAI MyCall App
  • Citizen-Centric Platform: Enables mobile users to rate their voice-calling experience after each call.
  • Developed By: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
  • Objective: Collect real-time feedback on mobile voice call quality to improve telecom services.
  • Nature of Feedback: Voluntary, anonymised, and shared with both TRAI and Telecom Service Providers (TSPs).
  • Coverage: Focuses on voice call quality rather than internet speed or data performance.
Key Features of the Revamped Version
  • Instant Call Rating: Users can rate calls on a 1–5 star scale immediately after completion.
  • Issue Reporting: Allows reporting of:
    • Call drops

  • Consumer Empowerment: Gives subscribers a direct role in monitoring telecom services.
  • Evidence-Based Regulation: Provides TRAI with real-world data to evaluate service quality.
  • Supports Digital India: Strengthens telecom infrastructure by encouraging continuous network optimisation.
Important Points
  • Feedback collected through the app will not be used to impose financial penalties on telecom operators.
