Jago AI Assistant
Why in News?
The Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) launched “Jago”, its official AI conversational assistant, during the National Conclave on Tribal Languages & Museums in Mysuru, Karnataka.
Function & Purpose
- Intelligent Interface: Acts as a single conversational portal for all trusted Ministry documents, guidelines, and initiatives.
- Simplifies Searches: Eliminates the need for users to manually search through lengthy, complex government pdfs or websites.
- Natural Queries: Allows citizens to ask questions in plain, simple language and receive fast, relevant answers.
Language & Inclusivity
- Current Languages: The platform is currently functional in English and Hindi.
- Language Expansion: The ministry is actively working to integrate nine more tribal languages into the Jago platform to expand its regional reach.
- Platform Sync: These expanding languages are being sourced from the upgraded Adi Vaani platform, which documents and revitalises tribal dialects.
