The Australia-India Partnership on Cyber, Critical Technologies and Supply Chains (PACTS) was officially launched on July 9, 2026, by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese during the Third India-Australia Annual Summit.
Core Objectives & Governance
- Overarching Goal: Elevate the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership by safeguarding critical national infrastructure and digital choices across the Indo-Pacific.
- Oversight: Jointly overseen at a senior level by India's Deputy National Security Advisor and Australia's Deputy Secretary of the International and Security Group.
- Annual Reviews: Features a mandatory Senior Officials' Meeting held yearly to map out specific projects and evaluate emerging cyber/tech risks.
